We are pleased to announce that Makoto Kimura has established a new company, BLUE RIGHTS Co., Ltd.
Kimura previously served as a producer for Fuji Television’s noitaminA programming block and later at Twin Engine, before becoming a board director and Head of the Rights Department at MAPPA, the animation studio behind such titles as Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Attack on Titan Final Season.

With global distribution platforms for Japanese anime now firmly established, its worldwide fanbase continues to grow, and demand is rising rapidly. The ways audiences can enjoy anime extend far beyond the screen to include music, merchandise, exhibitions, and more.

Throughout my career, I have taken on many challenges, from planning and production to developing new ways for audiences to experience anime. As I embark on this new chapter, I will remain grateful for all the opportunities that have brought me this far, while continuing to broaden the possibilities of anime and create experiences that fans around the world can enjoy.
